Unclog your drain with tools

He uses a rubber boot. This is a great way to uncover clogged drain pipes, whether in your bathtub, your toilet, or your sink. These tools have existed for a long time, and many homes feature a conventional unplugged in the bathroom or in a closet. This is composed of a long straight handle and a flexible rubber cup mechanism placed in the bottom. The rubber part acts as a suction cup that unclogs the obstructions and forces the air and water to pass through the pipes.

  • If your bathtub or sink does not have standing water, cover 5 to 8 cm (2 or 3 inches) with water. As you use the unplugged, the water will expel whatever obstructs the pipe.
  • If you have a drain plug, remove it.
  • Place the cup of unpacking over the drain hole, then pull and push the handle several times. After 15 to 30 seconds, you will notice that the water begins to drain. Do this a few more times if your pipes still drain slowly. After unclogging the drain, run the water to remove any residue from the obstruction.

Use a snake-like type of snake. If your rubber boots do not remove the obstruction, you can use a snake type. This consists of a long and flexible piece of steel that is attached to a handle and is used to uncover the accumulations that obstruct the pipes. The front end of a snake-type snake has a piece called auger, which is usually spiraled. These tools can be purchased at most hardware stores.

Pass the unplugged by the drain, placing the end of the auger first. When you insert it, turn it around so that it passes through the pipe easily. After introducing him, he begins to pull it slowly. This technique should allow you to decompose the residues that generate the obstruction. You may have to repeat it a couple of times to make sure the pipes are not clogged.

Create your own snake type snake with a wire clothes hook. This is a great method that you can use if you do not have a rubber snake or a snake type at home. Almost everyone has a wire clothes hook in their closet, and that’s all that is required to create your own snake-like braid.

  • Disengage the metal hook by unwinding the coiled end of the wire from the hook part. If the wire is too rigid, unwrap it with pliers instead of using your hands. Straighten the hook as far as you can, and use the pliers if you need help.
  • Fold approximately 7 mm (1/4 inch) from one end of the clothing hook over itself, so you will create a small hook. Take your pliers, then fold and press the hook to secure it in place.
  • Slowly push the end of the homemade unpacking hook into the tubing, and rotate it as it descends. After introducing it completely, pull it slowly. Do this again until the obstruction is removed.
  • Run hot water to remove debris from the blockage.
